When life changes without warning

Before the Hunter Valley bus crash in 2023, Sharyn Junkeer was living a full and rewarding life — building a successful career as a senior commercial leader & raising four children.

Then, in a single moment, everything changed.

The crash began a long and deeply personal journey of recovery, reshaping how Sharyn understood resilience, vulnerability, uncertainty and the courage it takes to keep moving when life no longer follows the plan.

Her story is not about returning to the person she was before.

It's about learning how to move forward, discovering new purpose through hardship, and choosing to live fully - when you've been gifted a second chance.

Sharyn's message for corporate teams and leaders

Today, Sharyn brings her lived experience and commercial leadership background to corporate audiences, sharing what it means to be given a second chance and how a forced pivot can become an opportunity to reshape life with greater purpose, clarity and gratitude.

Her message moves beyond the cliché of resilience. She offers leaders and teams an honest, grounded perspective on sudden change, recovery, responsibility, safety, forgiveness and the courage it takes to build something meaningful when the original plan is gone.

Through her story, audiences are invited to reflect on how they respond in moments of crisis, how they support people through difficult seasons, and how unexpected change can become a catalyst for deeper perspective, stronger leadership and a more intentional way forward.
